We use Freemius as a licensing platform for the plugin’s pro version. It’s included in the free version, so any user can easily upgrade to the PRO version. You can choose to unsubscribe from any communications by Freemius after activating the free version. Just click “Skip” in the opt-in dialog. Freemius will not slow down your site or harvest personal details without your permission. If you have any questions related to Freemius, feel free to shoot a question to freemius.com.

By partnering with Freemius, we are able to do the following easily as developers:

  • Offer and sell our PRO version to users worldwide.
  • Easily accepts the three main currencies when purchasing the PRO version (USD, GBP, and EUR).
  • Manage our customer accounts with a client and developer dashboard.
  • Clear separation of technical work (our work as developers) from the selling aspect of the plugin (which is handled by Freemius)
  • Offer different selling modes to cater to all types of customers (yearly/monthly subscription or even lifetime plans, which work for them).
  • Manage licenses and plans that any customer will need (single-site license plan, 10-site license, or even unlimited license plan)
  • Create our PRO and FREE versions seamlessly which simplifies the release cycle.

Because we earn income from selling our PRO versions, this cash flow sustains us, and that is the reason the Prime Mover plugin will continue to improve, become more powerful, stable, and reliable with every released version.

Every time we release a new PRO version, there is an equivalent free version that is made available on WordPress.org. This means a bug fix meant for the plugin is beneficial for both free and paid customers. This does not limit itself to bug fixes, but also includes usability and other minor features.

The only difference is that the free version does not include the paid PRO features. Freemius is an indispensable tool in all of these endeavors. Therefore it cannot be remove as it is part of the workflow and processes.
