Change log
= 1.2.0 =
- Fixed: Incompatibility with changing process IDs due to forwarded proxy server addresses.
- Fixed: Large readme.txt and splitted changelog to changelog.txt.
- Fixed: Marketing improvement for the plugin.
We would like to thank @parabaditya7 for reporting this issue. The symptom of this issue is “Import failed for unknown reason error” usually found in the servers that uses proxy caching/proxy servers or in Litespeed servers.
The root cause is that these servers output two addresses. The first one is static and the other one is dynamic. Prime Mover is only expecting the first one. However because of the dynamic addresses; the process IDs changes during the import or even export. This will result to the error. Process IDs are used to uniquely identify the user processes doing either the export/import.
The solution is to filter this address and only use the static since it’s the one that is unchangeable and the one that is expected to be used. This is now rolled-out in version 1.2.0
Other changes in this version includes cleaning up the plugin large readme.txt file. It is now splitted into changelog.txt
. As a result the readme.txt is now less than 10kB according to WordPress plugin readme standards.
Finally the plugin is in need of greater marketing push 🙂 The readme.txt including the plugin title in WordPress.org is now revised to make more relevant to the plugin functionalities being offered. This makes easy to be searched and found by it’s users.
